The World in Hands Foundation was established in February 2021. We work to enhance the quality of life for deafblind individuals by empowering them with the tools and motivation to live independently.

How Do We Work?

The Foundation fulfils its mission through a range of integrative and empowerment activities, including regular events, such as the Deafblind Club and the board games club. Moreover, we organise other activities based on grants received.

Become a Guide-Interpreter

The Foundation offers training for individuals aspiring to professionally support deafblind individuals as guide-interpreters. The training equips participants with knowledge about deafblindness and practical skills for effective assistance and communication with deafblind persons.

Donate

The Foundation’s work primarily relies on community service, with only a portion of our activities funded by project grants. Every donation helps us expand our reach and provide deafblind individuals with the assistance they require and adequately safeguard their needs.

Who is a Deafblind Person?

A deafblind person is an individual experiencing severe impairment in both vision and hearing, which can be either congenital or acquired. The type and extent of support required may vary based on the level of their visual and hearing impairments.
